Rising Rates, Costs & Taxes: What are your options as a Landlord?

As well as looking at the pros and cons of the 4 major ownership structures for landlords, we’ll take a look at how rising taxes, interest rates, energy costs and EPC requirements could impact your bottom line and tax position – and what you can do about it.

In a content packed webinar and Q&A, the team will help you think about questions such as:

  • Are you in the most profitable business structure?
  • When should you buy property in a limited company and when does it simply not make sense?
  • Are improvements tax deductible? And if so, from income or capital? What can you do with losses?
  • Are you making the most of the Government Super-Deduction before it expires?
  • How can you legitimately reduce Capital Gains Tax to unlock more equity for increased yields as interest rates rise?
  • How can you split the income with your spouse on a property you solely own without paying Stamp Duty or Capital Gains Tax?
  • How your plans could be impacted by the Corporation Tax Increase in 2023 and increasing Mortgage Rates
  • Mixed Partnership myths & facts
  • HMRC compliance
  • Inheritance tax

Whilst we cannot control interest rates that are rising faster than anyone predicted, or control CPI inflation that now stands at 9.4%, landlords who arrange their property business affairs in the most tax efficient way allowed by law are best placed to take advantage of market opportunities.
