As landlords, we see many different approaches to enforcement across London. Local authorities walk a tight rope between wanting to work with good landlords and needing to take action against bad practice. How effective is intelligence-led enforcement and how heavy handed or supportive should the authorities be? Can good landlords be positive role models by reporting poor practice and mentoring non-compliant landlords into the fold?
